Tally on Cloud Hosting

Tally on Cloud means running your Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9 on a managed Windows server instead of an office computer, so your team opens the same live company data from any device and location over Remote Desktop. M A Global Network has hosted Tally since 2015 using your existing licence, with free migration, automated daily backups and 24/7 support.

You keep your licence, your data and the way your team already works. We provide and manage the server – Windows Server 2022 with Remote Desktop Services, NVMe storage, a managed firewall, OS patching and backups.

  • Use your existing Tally licence
  • Multi-user, multi-location access
  • Free migration in 2–4 hours
  • Daily backups, 7-day retention
  • Printing to local printers
  • 24/7 phone & WhatsApp support

How Tally on Cloud works

We install your Tally licence on a managed Windows Server 2022 environment with Remote Desktop Services and NVMe storage. Each person gets their own secure Remote Desktop login. They open Tally exactly as before – the only difference is that the software and company data now run on the server, not on a desk in one office.

Because everyone connects to the same server, the owner, the accounts team, branches and your CA all see the same live data at the same time, without sending backup files back and forth.

  • Tally Prime and Tally ERP 9
  • TDL customisations and add-ons
  • Invoice and report printing to local printers
  • Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone access
  • Busy, Marg and Office on the same server
  • No local server to buy or maintain

Moving your Tally to the cloud

Migration is included at no extra cost. Share your Tally company data during onboarding and our team usually has it running on the cloud server within 2–4 hours. We confirm users, add-ons and printers with you, and most businesses are working on cloud Tally the same day.

Security and backups

Your server sits behind a managed, IP-whitelisted firewall on an isolated network segment, with hardware-level DDoS protection and regular OS security patching. Backups run automatically every day and are kept for 7 days on storage separate from the server, so a failed laptop or a ransomware infection on an office PC doesn't take your books with it.

Frequently asked questions

What is Tally on Cloud?

Tally on Cloud is Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9 installed on a managed cloud server. Your team connects over Remote Desktop and works on the same live company data from any device or location.

Is Tally on Cloud allowed with my Tally licence?

Yes, with the right licensing. Tally on Cloud runs your own genuine Tally licence on a server rented for your business. Tally Solutions requires a Tally Virtual User (TVU) pack for users who access TallyPrime through Remote Desktop or other virtual environments, in addition to a multi-user (Gold) licence for simultaneous users. Our team checks your licence during onboarding and tells you exactly what is needed.

How many users can work on one Tally on Cloud server?

As many as your Tally licensing covers – a multi-user (Gold) licence with the matching Tally Virtual User (TVU) entitlement for remote access. We size the server's CPU and RAM for the number of people who work at the same time.

Can I print to my local printer from Tally on Cloud?

Yes. Remote Desktop printer redirection sends invoices, reports and labels to the printer connected to your own computer, so printing works the same way it does today.

What internet speed do I need for Tally on Cloud?

Not much. Remote Desktop sends screen updates rather than files, so a stable connection of around 1–2 Mbps per user is usually comfortable. Stability matters more than raw speed.

How is this different from Tally's own cloud access?

Tally Solutions offers its own cloud access subscription. Managed Tally on Cloud gives you a full Windows server for your existing licence, where you can also run TDLs, add-ons, Busy, Marg or Office, with backups, security and support handled by our team.

What happens to my data if I stop the service?

Your company data remains yours. Ask our team for a full backup copy of your Tally data before the server is closed, and you can restore it on any other computer or server.

Where are the servers located?

Servers are hosted in professionally managed data centres in India. Because access is over the internet, your team can use Tally on Cloud from anywhere in the world.

Is Tally on Cloud GST-claimable?

For businesses registered under GST in India, yes. Every bill comes with a proper GST invoice, so the 18% GST can be claimed as input tax credit and the hosting is a business expense.
